Movie 1

The Terminator

James Cameron

A robot Disguised as a human, an assassin known as a Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) a cyborg that traveled from 2029 to 1984 to kill a woman named Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton). Kyle Reese (Michael Biehn),a man that was sent back in time and who divulges the coming of Skynet, an artificial intelligence system that will start a nuclear holocaust. Sarah is targeted because Skynet knows that her soon to be born son will lead the fight against the Terminators. With the virtually unstoppable Terminator in hot pursuit, she and Kyle attempt to escape.

My thoughts on the movie is that I like the idea of are own technology going aginst us. I also like the idea of someone from the past being the savor of humans and being hunted down by a robotic assassin from the time humans fall. This movie really showd some people that had fears about that idea of technology taking over and us humans as just ants. I like how they mess with the idea that the things that we made will come back at us and will soon use force to have us killed. It had a 8/10 on IMDb, 100% Rotten Tomatoes, and a 84% for Metacritic.

Movie 2

Forrest Gump

Robert Zemeckis

Slow-witted Forrest Gump (Tom Hanks) has never thought of himself as disadvantaged, and because of his supportive mother (Sally Field), he leads anything but a restricted life. Whether win in almost every game on the gridiron as a college football player, fighting in the dark time of Vietnam or running a shrimp boat for his dead friend from the war as a last dieing wish, Forrest inspires people with his childlike optimism. But one person Forrest cares about the most may be difficult to save -- his childhood love, the sweet but troubled Jenny (Robin Wright).

My thoughts on this movie is that I like how heart warming this movie is. It shows a man with a mine of a child but later had the best luck in life and became lots of things. He was a kind soul that was showing acts of kindness to a person in color when every one else was yell at them when blacks were moving in with the whites in the same school. Then became a football player and he was the best runner on the team. He then graduated from high school and went to the army where he made a friend and was a war hero in Vietnam. Then had a shrimp boat because he made a promise to his friend that sadly passed away in the war. He then got married to his childhood friend who had troubles of her own. Then had a child who he was smat and also named Forrest. It had a 8.8/10 on IMDd, 73% Rotten Tomatoes, and a 82% for metacritic.
